Yoga Teacher Training in India
for Jerusalem Students

Jerusalem's contemplative, spiritually engaged community has long been drawn to India's own spiritual traditions, and Rishikesh -- a pilgrimage town in its own right -- is a natural extension of that interest. Our residential training gives Jerusalem students a structured, credentialed path into the practice rather than a purely informal spiritual visit.

Why Rishikesh Instead of a Local Training

The Difference Between
Home and the Source

Jerusalem's spiritual life has deep roots of its own, and many residents already feel a pull toward India's contemplative traditions. Rishikesh offers a structured, residential way to explore that pull seriously, alongside a recognized professional certification.

Please note: every course on this page is 100% residential and takes place only at our campuses in Rishikesh or Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, India. We do not run any in-person classes, workshops, or training in Jerusalem District itself -- this page exists to help students from that region find and plan their trip to train with us in India.

🕉️
Trained Where Yoga Began
Rishikesh sits on the Ganges at the foot of the Himalayas and has been a center of yogic study for centuries -- not a studio converted for the occasion.
📜
Globally Recognized Certification
Yoga Vedanta Trust is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS 200 and RYS 300), the same international body Israeli studios already recognize.
💵
A Fraction of Local Training Cost
A residential 200-hour TTC here runs from $1,050 all-inclusive -- accommodation, three meals daily, and materials included, often well below comparable local residential trainings before travel.
🏡
100% Residential, Not Commuting
You live, eat, and practice on-site for the full course, rather than commuting between a rented room and a studio each day.

What Israeli Students Say

"I came as a skeptic. What I found was Swami Gopal Ji sitting cross-legged at 5:45am, utterly present. By day 28, I was a different person. Not better — clearer."

"Waking at 5:45am to the Ganga. Shatkarma. Then 90 minutes of Hatha as the sun rose over the Himalayas. This rhythm changed me permanently."

Markus T.
Germany · 200-Hour TTC

"The 300-hour program — Vedanta philosophy, Sanskrit, Yoga Nidra — is extraordinary. This is not a tourist package. This is a serious school."

"As a solo female traveler I was nervous. Within hours I felt completely safe and at home. The community here is unlike anything."

Questions Israeli Students Ask

How do I get from Jerusalem to the training location?
Departures typically go via Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv, about 45-60 minutes from Jerusalem, with direct or one-stop flights to Delhi taking roughly 6-9 hours. From Delhi, we help arrange the onward trip to Rishikesh.
Is prior yoga experience required?
No -- our 100-hour and 200-hour programs are designed to welcome complete beginners as well as experienced practitioners. The 300-hour program does require a completed 200-hour certification first.
Do I need a visa to do yoga teacher training in India as an Israeli citizen?
Yes. Israeli citizens need an Indian e-Tourist Visa, applied for entirely online. Attending a short-term yoga programme is an accepted purpose for this visa category.
Is my certification recognized back home in Israel?
Yes. Yoga Vedanta Trust is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS 200 and RYS 300), so graduates register as RYT 200 or RYT 300 with the same international body recognized by studios worldwide, including Israel.
Does training happen locally in my area, or only in India?
All residential training takes place only at our campuses in Rishikesh or Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, India. This page exists purely to help students from your area plan their trip to train with us in India.
