Where Ancient Wisdom Meets Global Teaching
Rooted in the sacred land of Rishikesh, Yoga Vedanta Trust has been transforming lives through authentic Hatha Yoga since 2011. Located near the revered Swami Dayanand Ashram, Muni Ki Reti — on the banks of the holy Ganga — we have trained teachers from over 30 countries worldwide.
The Story of Yoga Vedanta Trust
Yoga Vedanta Trust was founded by Swami Gopal Sharma — an E-RYT 500, YACEP certified master teacher with over 4,095 teaching hours and a Yoga Alliance member since 2011. His vision was singular: to preserve and share the most authentic expression of yoga as practiced by the ancient Himalayan sages.
Located near the sacred Swami Dayanand Ashram in Muni Ki Reti, Rishikesh — P.B. No. 30, Purani Jhadi — our school stands at the intersection of spirituality and professional excellence. Swami Gopal Ji trained under the great masters of Yoga — Sahi Swami Ji, Swami Dayanand Ji — and completed formal training at Swami Vivekananda Yoga University, holding a Diploma in Yogic Science.
He specializes in Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Sivananda Yoga, Mantra Yoga, and Nada Yoga — bringing both classical depth and modern teaching methodology to every program. Our school has guided over 2,000+ students from 30+ countries toward professional Yoga Alliance certification.
We believe yoga is not merely a physical practice — it is a complete science of living. Our immersive residential programs are designed to transform not just your body, but your entire understanding of self and the world.
Near Swami Dayanand Ashram
Our school is located in the sacred neighborhood near Swami Dayanand Ashram — one of Rishikesh's most revered spiritual centers. Surrounded by the Himalayan foothills with the holy River Ganga flowing nearby, the environment offers unparalleled peace and spiritual energy for deep practice.
The ashram-style lifestyle — early morning practices, sattvic meals, evening Ganga aarti, and periods of silence — forms the living backbone of our teacher training programs.

Start Your Journey →Meet Swami Gopal Sharma
Swami Gopal Sharma started his quest for yoga at the age of 9. His deep interest in yoga and allied sciences resulted in a profound dedication to the subject. For years he served and followed the great master of Yoga — Sahi Swami Ji and Swami Vedananda Ji from Santamat and Sri Satyananda Bihar school. His pure dedication towards yoga drew him closer to spiritual gurus who had immense knowledge of yoga philosophy.
After years under Sahi Swami Ji, he started his journey to Rishikesh and dwelled in the company of the great Swami Dayanand Saraswati — an internationally renowned Vedanta and Sanskrit teacher. He was under the great guidance of Swami Dayanand Ji for years. He then completed a Diploma as a Yoga Instructor and a Certificate in Yogic Science at Swami Vivekananda Yoga University, Varanasi. He teaches Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Sivananda Yoga, Mantra Yoga, Goa Bodhanaya, Haridwar Nada Yoga — and continues to pursue an extensive study of the ancient Indian heritage of the Vedas, Vedanta, the Upanishads, and the Gita.
