We do not run any in-person classes, workshops, or training in New South Wales (Sydney) itself -- this page exists to help students from that region find and plan their trip to train with us in India.

What is the flight time from Sydney to the training location?
Most routes from Sydney connect once through Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, or the Gulf before reaching Delhi, for a total travel time of around 13-15 hours in the air. From Delhi, we help arrange the onward trip to Rishikesh.
Are there other Australians in the batches?
Yes -- Australia is one of our best-represented nationalities, particularly from NSW, Queensland, and Victoria, so most batches include several Australian students training alongside Europeans and North Americans.
Do I need a visa to do yoga teacher training in India as an Australian citizen?
Yes. Australian citizens need an Indian e-Tourist Visa, applied for entirely online. Attending a short-term yoga programme is an accepted purpose for this visa category.
Is my certification recognized back home in Australia?
Yes. Yoga Vedanta Trust is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS 200 and RYS 300), so graduates register as RYT 200 or RYT 300 with the same international body Australian studios recognize.
Does training happen locally in my area, or only in India?
