Why Train in Rishikesh

Study at the Source,
Not a City Studio

Delhi has countless studios and drop-in classes, but very few residential, lineage-based programs. Rishikesh gives Delhi practitioners a full month away from the city's pace, spent entirely on practice, philosophy, and community on the Ganges.

Please note: every course on this page is 100% residential and takes place only at our campuses in Rishikesh or Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. We do not run any in-person classes, workshops, or training in New Delhi itself -- this page exists to help students from that region plan their trip to train with us in Rishikesh/Uttarkashi.

Trained Where Yoga Began

What Indian Students Say

"I came as a skeptic. What I found was Swami Gopal Ji sitting cross-legged at 5:45am, utterly present. By day 28, I was a different person. Not better — clearer."

"Waking at 5:45am to the Ganga. Shatkarma. Then 90 minutes of Hatha as the sun rose over the Himalayas. This rhythm changed me permanently."

Germany · 200-Hour TTC

"The 300-hour program — Vedanta philosophy, Sanskrit, Yoga Nidra — is extraordinary. This is not a tourist package. This is a serious school."

Questions Indian Students Ask

What is the best way to travel from New Delhi to the campus?
Overnight or morning trains from Delhi to Haridwar (about 4.5 hours) followed by a short taxi ride are the most popular option, along with self-drive or hired car (5-6 hours). Flights to Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport are also available and take under an hour.
Can I visit the campus before enrolling, since I'm close by?
Yes -- being based in Delhi, you're welcome to arrange a visit ahead of your batch if you'd like to see the campus first. Just reach out on WhatsApp to coordinate timing with our team.
How do I travel from my city to the training location?
Rishikesh is served by Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun), roughly 35 minutes away, with regular flights from Delhi and other major cities. Overnight trains and buses from Delhi to Haridwar/Rishikesh are also popular and economical. Uttarkashi is reached by road from Rishikesh or Dehradun, roughly 6-7 hours by car through Himalayan scenery.
Is my certification recognized across India and internationally?
Yes. Yoga Vedanta Trust is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS 200 and RYS 300), so graduates register as RYT 200 or RYT 300 with Yoga Alliance -- a credential recognized by studios across India and internationally.
Does training happen locally in my city, or only in Rishikesh/Uttarkashi?
All residential training takes place only at our campuses in Rishikesh or Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. This page exists purely to help students from your city plan their trip to train with us at our actual campus.
